Submission & Verification Policy

We review submissions to confirm they represent Native-owned businesses or community sellers and align with our standards.

Requirements

• Seller self-identifies as Native American, Alaska Native, or Indigenous.
• Seller affirms their representation is truthful.
• Submitter is authorized to represent the business or uses publicly available data.

Verification Approach

• We review for clarity, cultural respect, and guideline alignment.
• We do not verify Tribal enrollment, licenses, permits, or legal compliance.
• We may contact submitters for clarification.

Review Time

Most submissions are reviewed within 24–72 hours.

Cultural Goods & Indian Arts & Crafts Act Notice

Sellers of artwork, beadwork, regalia-inspired items, or cultural goods are responsible for compliance with the Indian Arts & Crafts Act (IACA). Tribal Goods Trail does not determine authenticity or Tribal affiliation of cultural goods.

Corrections and Removals

• Owners may request edits or removal.
• Listings may be removed if inaccurate or policy violations occur.

Business Definitions & Vendor Responsibility

Listings may include LLCs, nonprofits, Tribal enterprises, and independent community sellers such as salmon makers, jerky sellers, beadworkers, firewood sellers, huckleberry gatherers, and powwow vendors.

No Verification of Business Status

We do not verify business registration, food safety compliance, or authenticity of cultural goods.
